Out & About in Sudbury - Science North

Riley out the front entrance of Science North.

The view over the lake from the cafe at Science North where we had lunch.

A few weekends ago we decided to pay a visit to one of the regions big attractions; Science North. It is a multi level (approx 7 different levels I think) interactive hands on science centre for children and adults alike. There are exhibits such as exploring the deepest parts of the ocean and the kinds of creatures that live down there, a toddler treehouse play area, an area full of living insects from across the world, a butterfly gallery and a Lego room. There are areas where you can measure your fitness level and race a sprint against another person and have it timed and videoed in slow motion to watch in play back mode. We spent a few hours there and of course didn't get to see anywhere near all of it but both the kids had a ball and we will certainly head back again for more fun.

The kids exploring the deepest ocean in a submarine.

Exploring a cave...

Dress-ups. Riley was a bird (I think......)

Emily playing dress-ups. She was a lady bug.

Emily the Butterfly.

Riley in the butterfly gallery. This butterfly landed on him and stayed on his shoulder for most of the time we were in there.

Still there............
